Genesis International Film Festival is now open for submissions for the 2026 season. Short and documentary filmmakers from all over the world are invited to submit their works and become part of the GIFF community.
Our competition program includes several strands: the international short film competition GIFF.Shorts, the documentary competition GIFF.Docu, and the debut and student film competition GIFF.Debuts. We are looking for stories that expand the audience’s horizons, experiment with cinematic form and language, and introduce bold new voices.
Submissions for the 2026 season are open until 31 July 2026. After the deadline, all entries will go through a selection process, and the results will be announced during the festival in autumn 2026 in Moscow.
Films can be submitted via the FilmFreeway online platform through the “Submit” button on our website. Festival fees for international programs follow the conditions listed on the platform.
